Indoor plants in different seasons
Growing indoor plants is a really challenging task all in itself. And consider taking care of it and preserving it all the 6 seasons, seems like a really demanding task. Cuz indoor plants are low maintanance plants, which might seem a bit easy at first, but as we take care of it and grow it indoors, we come to understand that it takes a far more sensitive approach in growing them. They require a lot of care especially considering the factors that affect it in its growth. Things like humidity, sunlight, watering sessions can be a bit complicated in certain seasons especially in winters and monsoons. As the moisture tries to increase in the air around you then the plants (especially indoors) require or ask for less watering intervals as they absorb the moisture through the leaves and prepare food then. If you water them without noticing the status of the soil, if it is too dry or moist, it may lead to overwatering.
Summer
Summers might be the best season to grow your indoors , cuz they react so quickly depending on the climatic conditons. Your plant will either dry quickly or retain its moisture from cocopeat and indicate that it doesnot need to be watered yet. You need to touch the soil to know if your plant needs to be watered or not. If it is too dry and strong as stone, you need to water it and water it a bit more that the water should leak from the lower hole of your pot, this indicates that your plant has good drainage and the roots will get the water. Also it is better to place your plant right before the windows, as it receives filtered sunlight which is enough for your indoor plants growth.
Monsoons are kind of an interesting season. This is the season which is generally loved by outdoor plants, as they get the amount of water needed from rains. Seems like nature looks after its creation with providind resources when needed. But one thing to note is , if it gets too cloudy for a day or two, then watering should be delayed as plants will be moist all that time, no receivance of sunrays will make the plant delay its photosynthesis. Other than that there are not any more problems one would face during monsoons.
Winters or Fall
Winters are the season where the indoor plants are a bit sensitive to manage. Simple and straight, the winter winds make the plant absorb too much moisture and store it, the winter sun is also a lot weeker in terms of UV index, as the winds take over. Also the nights are too long which are kind of soothing and good for us, but for plants they might welcome pests, root rotting problems etcetera. So it is better to place the plants inside the house as the cool winds might damage the plant health not in short term but in long term. Also monitoring the soil condition is always a very great way to know if the plant is moist or dry, so as to water it accordingly.
